From Austin

Well hello there.  Sorry it has been so long since my post. 

I was pretending I was on vacation over the past week.  We made it to Austin last Sunday and have been having a blast exploring our awesome downtown neighborhood and laying by the pool between a little work and interviewing.

The rest of our road trip was fun.  We stopped in Nashville, which was amazing and I can't wait to go back.  They Ryman was amazing and I really wanted to go to the Bluebird Café like a true Nashville the show fan, but we were lucky enough to get into free pop up Keith Urban concert with just 200 other fans.  It is hard to see him in that picture so here is a video to prove it. 

 

 

 

 

 

It was so cool.  I wish I had filmed for longer.  The next day we went to Monell's for breakfast.  Let me just say if you are ever in Nashville you need to eat here.  Heck I would book a trip just to eat a meal here.  For Diner, Drive Ins, and Dive fans, it is even better than Guy can describe. 

 

We also stopped in Memphis for the night and hung out on Beale Street for while.  Then it was time for our longest leg.  We survived and often Brooke would try to get closer to us by sticking her head on the armrest.  She did awesome in the car, but was a little leery of elevators in hotels. 

 

Our current apartment is great and in a phenomenal location.  We are having a great time exploring.  Our current favorite past times include:

 

Late night trips to the taco truck (YUM), afternoons at the pool, Brooke sleeping at the foot of the bed (its her favorite place to be whether or not we are there), and walks along the foot bridge to Lady Bird Lake. 

More to come from Austin now that I have taken myself off of vacation status.
